How to use Safari for Canvas

Safari 13.1 (and later versions) cause issues with images not appearing in quizzes and Canvas pages. This happens on all Apple devices. Below are instructions for adapting Safari.


Disable cross-site tracking in Safari by going to Preferences > Privacy and remove the check from "Prevent cross-site tracking.

For students using the Canvas app

  • Make sure the app is updated to the latest release and update from app store, if necessary.
  • To disable the cross-site tracking, go to Settings > Safari > Privacy and Security and turn off "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking"

OR, use one of the other supported browsers
